THANKFUL to keep on learning from these precious people. Today my grandfather gave the opening remarks for an event titled, "How Could Concentration Camps Happen?" We marked the 75th anniversary of Executive Order 9066, the presidential decision that led to the imprisonment of over 120,000 Japanese immigrants and Japanese American citizens.

Feeling moved to do something, to learn how to be a friend to the vulnerable in our country. To fight against my own prejudices that would label someone as "other" or less than. History must not repeat itself. Lord have mercy.

Dear Brave Self Care community:

How did you learn how to be a good sport? How do you teach kids how to be a good sport?

Seriously. Tell me. Seems like most of the games we play around here end with someone in tears or the pieces getting kicked off the board. HELP.

Our Australia/New Zealand adventure was incredible in so many ways, but professionally, the highlight was leading this lovely group through my workshop, Self Care 101!

I worried a bit about cultural and language differences. (Did you know there they put their bubs in nappies and take them for walks in prams? ?) But these moms' joys and struggles were refreshingly relatable.

I coached one mom through the new invitation God was giving her - to be released from always saying 'yes' to volunteer needs at her kids' school and look for the ways He wants to uniquely pour into her this year.

I coached another mom through what it's been like to realize the thought, "I'm not a morning person" is not true for her when the morning involves a refreshing swim that's been just right for exercising through her 3rd trimester.

Part of a group of believers who would like to receive this workshop for themselves? Get in touch! Booking now for March and April. ??

This book has me geeking out hard over the #enneagram and the 9 types. It's going back to the library but I'm already in line to reserve it again.

Do you have any favorite personality tests? And if you know your Enneagram type, care to share??
