Katie's cable situation was out of control.

Her work-at-home desk was a jungle of laptop cables, headphone cords, chargers, docking station cables, and power cords.

She could barely move her legs without unplugging something.

But! Her brother's great at organization.

Katie bribed him with a dozen chocolate chip cookies (she loves baking), found a time that worked for him, and within 20 minutes, he had the whole situation sorted, zip ties and everything.

"He loves doing stuff like that," Katie said, her voice relieved.

"A small step like reorganizing your cables can make a HUGE difference!"

Four Takeaways from Katie's Win

  1. You don't have to do everything yourself
    Really.

  2. Find people to work in their zone of genius to help you
Did you catch that Katie's brother LOVED organizing cables? If you're overwhelmed by something that's not in your wheelhouse, chances are there's someone out there for whom it would be a joy to serve you.

  3. Chocolate cookies are a great bribe
One of Katie's zones of genius? The kitchen. She got to do something she loved in exchange for her brother doing something that he loved. Win-win.

  4. Your physical environment affects your mental health and well-being
What's the most annoying thing about your space right now? Taking small steps to address it could leave you a lot calmer.

What's one way you can apply one of the takeaways above?

Maybe ask for help with an unpleasant task...
Think about who loves doing some of the things you hate...
Bake...
Or tackle a part of your home that's driving you a little batty.

And if you need help making time for yourself, doing things you love, and knowing how to handle hard situations as a parent...

I'd love to help!

My zone of genius is helping people like you drink their coffee while it's hot, do things that make them feel like themselves, and become the calm and present parent they've always wanted to be.
